Description:

This intern help with the funding of Lula Washington Dance Theatre. We are looking for people whose college studies have focused on persuasive writing and research. The ideal candidate will assist the Executive and Associate Director in gathering the material needed for writing grants as well as doing some writing to fund the school and the touring company.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive and Associate Director in the writing of the grants
- Create calendar listing all deadlines for grant applications
- Gather information that will be needed in each grant
- Create and maintain folders with all grant information in them from previous years
- Keep track of existing grants and follow up

Qualifications:

Graduate student and recent graduates will be reviewed first
Must have excellent written skills; grant writing experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Must be a self-starter.
Must have excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
