According to the U.S. Department of Labor, graphic design professionals are in demand in almost every industry, but job seekers face strong competition when vying for graphic design careers. Qualified candidates need education and experience. While you are working hard to acquire the necessary education, let us help you gain some valuable experience.

The Global Grid is seeking qualified applicants for Infographics Design Internships. As a Infographics Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in a variety of infographic and data visualization design projects. You will gain valuable experience and skills, and we make all of our internships available for academic credit. Plus, we offer free resume reviews and career coaching to support you as you transition from our internship into the next phase of your career.

Although this is a virtual internship and you don’t have to commute to our office, we still expect professionalism and commitment from you. We are looking for the best of best. If you are creative, energetic, and eager to learn, and can commit to at least a six month internship; we want to hear from you!

What to expect during your internship with The Global Grid?

You can expect to gain experience in a variety of areas including environmental design and how to manage the creation of digital designs from concept to finished product.

Ability to work autonomously with little direction;

Effectively conceptualize, design and create high-quality visuals in a variety of digital formats;

Comprehend numerically driven or abstract concepts and convert them into appropriate, visually compelling designs under deadline and without factual error;

Communicate design strategy;

Develop infographic portfolio pieces - one per week;

Obtain a greater knowledge of the environmental design field.

Qualifications:

What were looking for:

6 month or 1 year commitment, contractually;

Uninterrupted Internet and computer access, must check email daily;

Excellent design skills;

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign;

Strong communication and quantitative skills;

Ability to work under deadlines and meet them;

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and independent worker;

Ability to work remotely;

Passion for environmental design a plus.
