Description:
The UC Theatre’s Concert Career Pathways Program teaches young people the technical, creative, and business aspects of concert and event promotion through hands-on workshops, work-based learning, career pathways and employment opportunities for young people ages 17-25. Participants learn best practices in production management, event coordination, stagehand, floor staff, live sound engineering, lighting design, event budgeting, box office operations, marketing, social media promotion, talent booking, and more. This unique program is an integral part of The UC Theatre and aims to diversify the next generation of music industry professionals.
The program includes:Intro Workshops Series - 6 sessions (August 5th-7th /August 10th-12th )
Program Orientation (August 14th)
Shadow Shifts (August 17th - October)
Paid Internships (Oct-May: 8 -14 hrs per week)
Advanced Workshops, Industry Tours and Networking Opportunities (October - May)
Qualifications:
Requirements-Minimum age of 17 when program starts and no older than 25 through programs duration
-Must have a passion for music, arts, production and learning
-Commitment to full participation for the entire duration of the nine month program
