A programmer internship position is available with Elegran! Our intern will benefit from a flexible schedule that allows for college credit, and will work on building web presence and developing multiple projects in a variety of fields. He/she will also learn and work with professional development workflow.

Our intern ideally is savvy in PHP and HTML 5, preferably with Drupal experience and a commitment/interest in open source CMS like Wordpress and Joomla. Extra credit if you have a sample portfolio of sites you can showcase.

Were a savvy, fun and laid-back environment with young co-workers and a brand new office on Lexington Avenue in bustling midtown Manhattan. Qualifications:

College student or recent graduate majoring in Computer Science or related field, seeking experience and/or college credit.

Skills:
• Experience with PHP programming
• Experience with Drupal programming
• Proficient in HTML (HTML 5 is a plus), CSS (CSS 3 is a plus) and JavaScript (jQuery is a huge plus)
• Knowledge of other CMS (WordPress, Joomla) is a plus

Responsibilities:
• Working with our in-house development team (designers, developers)
• Cutting up designs into HTML/CSS templates
• Installing and configuring Drupal instances and attaching custom design templates
• Editing existing open-source Drupal modules or creating new modules from scratch
• Working with databases
• Contributing to other processes of web development
