Description:

Tutor, mentor and support college bound youth in an intensive residential academic summer program. Opportunities to teach, coordinate activities, oversee advisee group, lead trips, create a positive dorm and academic environment. Excellent training, support. Room and board provided. Some students may be able to access work study or college funding for this internship.

Qualifications:

Have completed at least one, preferably 2 years of college. Strong academic record. Ability to tutor or teach in several subjects. Experience working with disadvantaged youth. Willingness to immerse and work very hard to help youth reach their goals. Sensitivy to cultural differences. Interest and experience in social justice and increasing educational access. Drivers licencse preferred but not required.

Hours:

Sunday 4 p.m to Friday late afternoon
