Description:

AfP is seeking a part-time communications intern for the fall of 2012. Internship (20-30 hours / week) will accommodate a flexible schedule. Internship will begin as soon as possible (end of August) and end in December.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of completed college coursework ● Strong computer skills, including administering a social networking site, web editing and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel ● Knowledge of yourmembership.com membership software or other database programs a plus ● Enthusiasm and commitment to the organization’s mission ● Proactive, independent and team-oriented work ethic ● Excellent writing skills, organizational skills and attention to detail ● Prior professional workplace experience ● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines ● Positive attitude and an ability to engage with a wide variety of people ● Knowledge and familiarity with peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and/or international affairs a plus.
