Description:
Looking for a job? Take a Spring Internship and Expand Your Network!Fall internships available for a DC-based nonprofit working on Global Entrepreneurship Week – a global campaign that last year engaged more than 3 million people under the age of 30, through 25,022 events, hosted by 8,892 partner organizations, in 100 nations.
Interns are directly involved with planning and executing this initiative – from making phone calls to partners, to writing content for the Web site, to researching new ways to expand the initiative to reach more people. This is a great opportunity to develop skills, make new connections and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic nonprofit.
All internships require excellent verbal and written communications skills. Most of the positions will be focused on outreach, with a few positions available for individuals focused on communications experience. Communications writing (AP style) or grassroots organizing experience preferred. Applicants should have excellent phone and computer skills, the ability to efficiently research organizations online, and general writing skills.
All internships are available for college credit. Weekly schedules are flexible and internships last into April or May of 2010.
