Interested in spending your fall semester in Washington DC? The Save Darfur Coalition is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated full-time or part-time interns for the fall of 2010. Interns will work closely with the Coalitions staff to fulfill both administrative and programmatic duties in our office in Washington DC.

Campaign Advocacy intern’s responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with a various aspects of Save Darfur’s advocacy campaigns including the development and distribution of materials.
• Maintaining the contact information of both activists and Coalition partners; updating the SDC activist database
• Blogging on the Coalition’s website about SDC campaigns and events
• Assisting Coalition outreach staff in their work with partner organizations
• Researching issues, campaigns and events related to the Coalition’s work

Internships are unpaid, but students may receive college credit, if applicable.

Qualifications:

Intern qualifications:
• Passion for ending the mass atrocities in Darfur and bringing peace to Sudan;
• Ability to work independently;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Strong research and writing skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally within a diverse community;
