WHO: Transcend Academy is a fast growing education company that provides SAT prep and admissions help. We’ve recently launched in DC, MD , VA and are building a sales force through our Semester-long Professional Internship Program for college and exceptional high school students. We are looking for candidates with high levels of energy and commitment along with a strong desire to be part of the building process.

WHAT: Inside Sales Interns at Transcend use a mix of ingenuity, persistence, and sales prowess to build partnerships with local schools and organizations in our local market. They call daily on schools and organizations promoting Transcend Academy’s core products. We need driven, creative, and intelligent students.

Responsibilities include:
- A quick ability to learn and respond
- Blowing away sales quotas
- Surpassing call and productivity expectations
- Closing business by convincing schools and organizations to use or promote Transcend Academy services
- Fearlessly cold calling in order to generate and qualify leads
- Diligently maintaining a prospect/customer database
- Conducting sales presentations and product demos via the phone and online
- Producing activity reports

Compensation:
- Ability to earn uncapped commissions
- Strong letter of recommendation at the completion of the program
- Solid marketing and sales work experience

As with any role in a small and fast-growing company, you will be asked to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Candidates should be flexible and capable of adapting quickly and succeeding in an ever-changing environment. Experience with online sales, advertising, and web 2.0 are beneficial (though not required) to an account representative’s success and fit with our team.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:
- College Students (Exceptional High School students may be considered)
- Interest in education and sales
- Goal-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Able to maintain high energy and enthusiasm
- Foreign language a plus
- Background in marketing a plus
