Description:

The National College Access Network (www.CollegeAccess.org) announces a part-time or full-time internship opportunity in its Washington, DC office for the fall and spring semesters. We are seeking a motivated student with an interest in education and policy to assist with advocacy, conference planning, communications, research and other duties.

Job Duties Include:
- Assisting with advocacy and research activities on an as-needed basis;
- Assisting with event planning and database management in preparation for upcoming meetings;
- Answering inquiries from meeting attendees;
- Managing information through NCANs database including membership and prospect lists;
- Managing the program profiles in the National College Access Program Directory; and
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have a background in event planning, data entry and data management as well as strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Top candidates will have an interest in education, education policy, non-profit organizations, and/or social equity. Through this position, the intern will gain an in-depth understanding of college access and success work and gain practical experience working in a non-profit environment. Candidates must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
