AfP is seeking a part-time intern for the fall of 2012 to assist with the Peacebuilding Mapping Project (PMP). PMP aims to develop an inventory of the size, scope, economics and dynamics of the organizations and professionals actively engaged in peacebuilding. Internship will begin as soon as possible (end of August) and end in December.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of completed college coursework, preferably 4 ● Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel ● Familiarity with statistics and in-depth data collection ● Enthusiasm and commitment to the organization’s mission ● Proactive, independent and team-oriented work ethic ● Excellent writing skills, organizational skills and attention to detail ● Prior professional workplace experience ● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines ● Positive attitude and an ability to engage with a wide variety of people ● Knowledge and familiarity with peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and/or international affairs a plus.
