An internship at Children’s Chorus of Washington (CCW) provides opportunities to work and learn in a professional, nurturing and fast paced environment. In addition to honing professional skills, interns at CCW are exposed to professional networking and receive career counseling during the semester. Internships are available on a part time basis depending on the internship focus area. CCW Internships are based on a 10-20 hour work week, unpaid, offer flexible schedules and run concurrent with the semester system (fall, spring and summer).

Internship Descriptions:

GENERAL MANAGEMENT/NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT
An intern in General Management can expect to be involved in the day to day administrative operations within a non-profit arts organization. Daily duties may include observing, participating and/or assisting with the multi-tasking and organizing of the administrative operations; with the generation of reports and charts provided to the Executive Director summarizing the state of the organization; with the implementation of new and the revision of existing CCW policies; with the monitoring and maintaining of the overall well-being of the entire company; and learning how the organization and Executive Director solve real issues that arise in operating a non-profit arts organization. Researching, filing, photocopying and other administrative duties may be requested of the intern. Internship dates are September through December (Fall), January through April (Spring), and mid-May through August (Summer)

MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONS
Some of the duties a Marketing/ PR intern can expect to complete include audience development projects; media and public relations, media hosting; surveying audience and target marketing research; distributing posters, rack cards and brochures; updating media lists; updating archives; calling for print quotes; picking up print jobs and deliveries to the mail house; special promotions; mailings; statistics research; assistance with special events; completing sponsor proposals; and other administrative duties. Internship dates are September through December (Fall), January through April (Spring), and mid-May through August (Summer)
