The Alliance for Peacebuilding is a membership-based network of organizations and professionals devoted to help build sustainable peace and security worldwide. For more information on the Alliance for Peacebuilding, visit www.allianceforpeacebuilding.org.

The Alliance for Peacebuilding is seeking a part-time intern to help administer a partnership project with the United States Institute of Peace. The interns primary responsibility is to assist President & CEO and Program Director in the program design and implementation of a multi-year, multi-partner strategic communications campaign. Basic duties include assistance with meeting logistics, travel arrangements, substantive public opinion and fundraising research, and drafting external communications, including partnership materials and grant proposals.

Qualifications:

At least three years completed college coursework, preferably four years ● Strong computer skills, high proficiency in Word and Excel ● Enthusiasm and commitment to the organization’s mission ● Proactive, independent and team-oriented work ethic ● Excellent writing skills and attention to detail ● Professional workplace experience ● Ability manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines ● Experience working with policy-makers or the media a plus.

15-20 hrs/wk
