Kingman Island Green Team Crew Leader

Living Classrooms is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Kingman Island Green Team Crew Leader. This individual will focus his or her efforts on assisting the Kingman Island Coordinator and Retention Specialist with the Work Force Development Green Team program. This program provides job skills training, especially in the field of landscaping and property management, to out-of-school youth.
Qualifications:
• Must show proof of previous landscaping and/or maintenance work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to engage in physical tasks related to operational and restoration projects
• Prior experience in coordinating and managing volunteers a plus.

While each of our program areas is distinct, in combination they create a powerful synergy. Our maritime heritage programs create opportunities for employment training. Our education programs use our environmental and maritime resources as living learning laboratories. Our employability programs create stronger communities that are better prepared to exercise environmental stewardship.
