The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) seeks Spring interns!

An internship at FOSI provides opportunities to work and learn in a professional, nurturing and fast paced office environment. In addition to honing professional skills, interns at FOSI are exposed to an array of professional networks and international organizations.

Responsibilities:

Work would include research in the online safety field on topics including sexting and cyberbullying as well as broadband responsibility and digital citizenship. Responsibilities may include reporting on developments at the FTC, FCC and other government agencies, and providing research and information on legislation and court cases dealing with Internet safety issues. Daily duties may include observing, participating and/or assisting with the multi-tasking and organizing of the administrative operations, including event planning; with the implementation of new and the revision of existing FOSI policies; with the monitoring and maintaining of the overall well-being of the entire company; and learning how the organization and Executive staff solve real issues that arise in operating an international non-profit organization. Researching, filing, photocopying and other administrative duties may be requested of the intern.

We would prefer someone who could work 2-3 days per week as we approach our busiest time of the year.

FOSI will work with any college/university to grant internship credit upon request. The intern must present all required paperwork in a timely manner and facilitate communications between FOSI and their school.

Creativity, social media experience and excellent technology skills are all a plus!

The position is unpaid, but we will provide a travel and lunch subsidy.

Qualifications:

Completed or pursuing a 4-year college degree.
