Very busy events & public relations company will bring on 2 interns for Winter 2013. Interns focus will primarily be on supporting the planning & production of two high end consumer focused luxury events Spring 2013. Events experience is preferred.

Company specializes in corporate, social, lifestyle & non-profit events. Company DOES NOT plan or execute weddings, birthday parties etc. Company IS NOT a design or catering firm.

Applicants must have serious interest in high-end event planning, production, cultivation and management as well as press and publicity campaign development and execution. Internship requires heavy administration, and research skills, great with people in person and on the phone, polished, poised, organized, self-starter, great at taking direction, sharp and creative, not intimidated in interaction with high ranking government, social and entertainment personalities.

Applicant must be willing to work hard and learn, no attitude, comfortable working in a boutique office environment with a no job is too small mentality. Computer and internet savvy is a MUST – knowledge of local press outlets, and the D.C social scene a PLUS. Great opportunity for growth. We are looking for applicants hungry for experience and knowledge and appreciative of the opportunity.
Internship will begin in January and run into April 2013.

Commitment is 3 days a week with additional presence required on event days. Occasional networking and promotional party attendance also requested.

Office is located in Georgetown. Company is actively looking to hire in the fall from internship pool for full-time entry-level position.
Fast-paced, fun, hip office environment with a small, young staff. Active participation in networking and social organizations is encouraged, cultivated and required.
Internship is not paid, but performance bonuses are offered.
Prefer applicants with their own laptop, we are a Mac office.
