Description:

The Development/Fundraising Intern will work directly with the Operations Director to successfully create and implement fundraising strategies. EWGA DC Metro and Baltimore Regional Chapter is looking for an energetic, passionate individual with a strong sense of personal initiative to grow its marketing and fundraising efforts. The Development/Fundraising Intern will be an integral part of these efforts, working on projects from creation through to implementation. This position offers excellent work experience and skill building.

Job Tasks Include

Communicating with local golf courses, businesses, and corporate partners in regard to annual fundraising and special events

Research and data analysis

Pitch media contracts for TV and radio contacts including follow up

Obtaining premium level sponsorship (must have corporate sponsorship experience)

Develop a marketing campaign for membership recruitment, programs, and events

Grant writing/editing

Creation and implementation of a planned giving program

Establishment and execution of a leadership giving circle

Development of corporate partnership programs (i.e golf tournaments, charity golf events, social golf outings, etc.)

Other duties:
Obtain financial sponsorship for special events
Developing marketing strategies for promoting programs and services for local womens golf chapter

Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

One-two years of college experience.

Access to personal computer

Available to work 15 hours a week. Work hours are flexible. Internship is unpaid.

Interest in womens golf and passion for marketing and fundraising for sports programs and/or non-profits.

Self-starter; able to work well without constant direction

Strong attention to detail

Previous marketing skills strongly preferred

Familiar with golf and golf sponsors (preferred)

Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design majors preferred
