We help vocational ed students secure a job in the skilled trades before they start school, by uniting education and employment into seamless pathways. We are specifically looking for an operations intern to work closely with our COO in leading the company’s student recruiting operations, project delivery to clients and internal team management. Past interns have assisted with our B-Corp application process, designed our internal review processes, and established our internal metric tracking procedures.

This is an UNPAID internship – we will work with you to secure college credit for this experience. You must have an interest in the startup world, and be willing to remain flexible while working beyond expectations. In exchange, we can promise you autonomy, hands-on experience, and the chance to build an integral and lasting part of our young company.

DATES
September 8 to December 12

RESPONSABILITIES
Overseeing our student recruitment hotline, including scheduling and conducting interviews, inputting and submitting student data to employers, and managing the internal applicant tracking database
Assist with ongoing office management tasks such as ordering supplies, managing bill payment, etc
Support internal team management
Additional, varied research projects pertaining to internal operations and management that arise as our company grows and expands
Occasional blog post writing

Qualifications:

Current Junior, Senior or recent graduate
Proven interest in business operations and management
Process-oriented approach to work
Telephone or case managerial experience- such as (but not limited to) telesales, managing a hotline, working with underserved populations in person
Strong written and verbal communicator
Thorough, organized researcher able to synthesize data and make recommendations to senior team members
Willingness to be flexible and jump onto ongoing projects in other departments as needed, ie marketing or sales
