Description:

Duties will include, but not be limited to: Assist in investigating the environmental footprint of oil and gas operations. An example project is to investigate the use of dope-free technology used for casing in order to quantify how the use of dope-free technology impacts casing running speeds, waste management at the rig site and other operational issues. A second project may be to investigate the use of natural gas to power drilling rigs and hydraulic fracturing operations. Write reports. Update web sites. Develop and make presentations concerning results. Communicate verbally and in writing with Environmentally Friendly Drilling Systems research team across the United States.

Additional information: Must be willing to travel and work in the field. No housing or relocation available.

Qualifications:

Education: Pursuing a BS/BA (must have completed at least two years of study) or MS in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, environmental science or related disciplines.

Skills: Must have strong communications skills, ability to perform in a team environment. Must be a self-starter and able to perform with minimum oversight.
