Description:

This is a great opportunity to work in a small firm with a very diverse portfolio of client’s, you will gain access to real hands on experience in the many areas of public relations. You will be working on press releases, media alerts, planning events, contacting press, searching for and clipping client mentions in news articles and online, social media, etc.

Internship is unpaid and can be used towards college credits or just for personal experience. We are willing to work around school and personal schedules for weekly hours. Position will star January 9th, 2012 or ASAP

Qualifications:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, Ability to coordinate & communicate in a professional manner with clients, Ability to operate independently and in a team structure, Knowledge and understanding of technology, trends and the latest in social media and experience working with Facebook, Twitter, Four Square and other social media sites, Experience with news writing, Must have strong work ethic and show initiative, Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
