Summer 2012 Market Research Intern

Those selected for this internship will have the opportunity of hands on experience conducting market research studies. MVG will work within the college internship guidelines so that students may receive course credit. The program will span from May 9th through August 9th, during which interns will be able to experience and learn about the following:
*MVG structure and company culture
*Watch how a market research study bid is conducted & participate in client/project briefings
*Quality checks, data collection and project programs
*Experience behind the scenes set up/break down of projects & staffing needs and how scheduling is done
*Train on how to conduct study interviews along with the chance to administer real interviews
*Have the opportunity to screen individuals for studies we are conducting including taste tests
*Learn about specific quotas for various projects and have the opportunity to validate study participants
*See firsthand how a focus group is conducted and how video research is collected
*Develop and enhance work ethic, team building skills, communication and presentation skills

Upon successful completion of the MVG internship program interns will gain course credit, receive a valuable letter of recommendation and certificate of completion, be able to connect with MVG on LinkedIn.com, and have the possibility of a job offer. Interns will finish the internship having gained a good understanding of what a career in Market Research project management looks like. Students will have better appreciation of what a high quality data collection company does to ascertain accurate consumer information along with knowledge on how world class packaged goods manufactures listen to their customers. Students will have a great addition to their resume by having real world work experience in a top tier professional environment. Learned skill sets and experience gained from this internship are invaluable and fully transferable!

Qualifications:

MVG is seeking undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in business administration, marketing, sales and advertising, communication, international studies, project and business management. Interns must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in combination with a strong desire to learn and apply new skills. A minimum of a 3.0 current GPA is required. Student interns must have the option to receive credit through their college for internship participation.
