Job Summary

Our Operations Interns work directly with our shipping and warehouse managers to ensure that inventory (down to the last bag of rice) is ready for each and every one of our events. Whether it’s preparing for a 10 thousand meal event or a 2 million meal event, this position is event focused and gives opportunity to lead teams of volunteers while monitoring and managing inventory and product levels. This specific role does require some heavy lifting (ie. 50-100 Ib bags of lentils & rice) and travel (as they will help lead events that take place all over the state of FL). Operations interns will be exposed to the ins and outs of event logistics, inventory management, shipping & distribution management, and more.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Pre and Post Event Preparation—which includes loading/unloading box trucks with product
Warehouse/Inventory Management—maintaining an organized warehouse environment
Packaging and Shipping Merchandise
Organizing and Counting Inventory
Volunteer Management—leading and training teams of volunteers at events to complete multiple tasks including (but not limited to) loading and unloading product, re-filing and re-stocking product, and creating assembly line efficiency.
Traveling to and Leading our Meal Packing Events—all traveling expenses/meals are organized and covered by Feeding Children Everywhere
