Orlando Repertory Theatre, a professional theatre for young audiences and families, is seeking a Scenic Intern for the 2017-2018 season!

The Scenic Internship provides a professional experience working in a theatrical scene shop. Each intern has the opportunity to experience and learn industry trades in the shop ranging from the more common woodworking techniques to more complicated metalworking and welding practices. Working closely with the Scene Shop staff, interns also gain other experience throughout the build process including loading-in, striking scenery, and basic rigging techniques. Applicants should have experience in theatrical carpentry, reading technical drawings, and should be comfortable working with power tools. This internship is based on a 40 hour work week and the intern receives a weekly stipend of $165 to assist with living expenses.
Internship dates are August through May with the option to extend through the summer of 2018.

The REP staff strives to create a comfortable atmosphere for growing and learning while you hone your professional skills and build your portfolio under our wing. Interns at The REP not only get a one-of-a-kind experience from a professional staff; they also have unique access to industry professionals from Disney, Universal, and other leading organizations through networking and career counseling workshops. Interns also benefit from complimentary tickets to REP productions during their stay. Housing is not provided.
