At Scholars K12 Online Academy we are looking for a well-rounded, team player, good communicator, detail oriented, hard-working individual.JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for instructing students from grade levels 3rd to 12th Grade. You will be working with students across the United States in different school districts. Students will be taking crash enrichment courses to close learning gaps from the previous school year when school was closed due to COVID-19. In addition, starting at the Middle School level students will be enrolled in Study Skills courses. You will be responsible for posting assignments daily, providing daily instruction via video/recorded video, creating enrichment assignments, communicating with parents, grading assignments, process progress reports and report cards. There will be different course levels. At Scholars K12 Online Academy we like to work as a team to ensure that all of our students are successful.
TRAINING:
This is considered a classified position. You do not have to be certified to apply for this position. You will be trained, and course material/instruction will be provided to you. *Education experience is a plus.
HOURS & AVAILABILITY:
You must have open availability. During COVID-19 we will be following different school schedules to be able to accommodate students. Tentative Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12pm to 8pm, *Hours and days subject to change. *Some weekend work is required.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Works with school admin team to provide overview of student’s academic needs.
2. Motivates students in appropriate academic activities and provides instruction that is appropriate.
3. Works with students to develop strong academic skills.
4. Establishes and maintains rapport with the students.
5. Maintains records of all student progress.
6. Participates in scheduled meetings.
7. Post Assignments for students to complete
daily
8. Score certain assignments in a timely manner.
9. Post and communicate with all students, parents and other staff.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
