Human Resources Internship (Paid)- Atlanta, GA
The American Cancer Society is a not-for-profit health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. We are also dedicated to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
The South Atlantic Division is currently recruiting 2 Human Resources Interns for our Atlanta, GA office.
These are PAID Internships structured for approximately 12 weeks. Students should have completed their sophomore year; have a strong academic record and have an interest in Human Resources generally and staffing in particular.
The selected intern will have the opportunity to work with the Human Resources Team at the nations largest non-profit; assisting with the various recruitment inititaives. Basic duties include using the internet and social networking to identify prospective candidate sources for talent pipelines; nurturing a candidate database; assisting with staffing initiatives.
The internship provides an excellent introduction to sourcing and staffing with the American Cancer Society; a 93 years old organization rated among Universums top 10 Most Ideal Employers for undergraduate humanities/liberal arts students. With a practical business application of web searching and sourcing; the selected intern will have the ability to work in a self-directed environment.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- Business or Liberal Arts Major
- Basic research skills
- Strong communication skills
This is a 12-week, paid, part-time internship, not to exceed 30 hours a week. Hours are flexible depending upon student’s schedule.
