Description: Jr. A&R Intern-
Junior A&R Intern Purpose: The A&R division is responsible for discovering and filtering noteworthy artists to Executive Management. They are expected to understand the current tastes of the market and to be able to find artists that will be commercially successful. In addition the Junior A&R with assist with marketing and promotion.
Junior A&R Intern Duties:
• Seek Talent by attending events, functions, and showcases. (30% Travel is required)
• Perform initial consultation with prospective clients. Gauge client needs, niche, and level of development
• Filter all talent to executive management for final review and consideration
• Audition demo tapes / Press Kits
• Build client and vendor relationships
• Checking industry insiders (managers, agents, attorneys, concert promoters, label promo reps, retail contacts, trade and consumer press tips, regional ‘scenes’, or other sources.)
