Phil® is a donation service that connects local nonprofit organizations with local businesses in order to provide funding to community members in need. We are looking for motivated advertising interns with experience in brand planning, campaign management, creative/design, media buying and planning, and social media. The internship can be tailored to each student’s experience and goals and may include such duties as:

-develop social media sites
-create and manage a press kit
-develop viral video scripts
-develop campaign ideas
-look into and develop a crowd funding site
-brainstorm and produce potential print ads
-purchase advertising space and time
-prepare budgets and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign plan development
-plan and produce advertising and promotional materials
-inspect layouts and advertising copy
-identify and develop contacts for promotional campaigns that meet identified buyer targets such as dealers, distributors, or consumers
-confer with department heads and/or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised
-monitor and analyze sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns
-formulate plans to extend business with established accounts
-direct, motivate, and monitor the mobilization of a campaign team to advance campaign goals
-plan and execute advertising policies and strategies
-track program budgets and expenses and campaign response rates to evaluate each campaign based on program objectives and industry norms
-train and direct workers engaged in developing and producing advertisements
-coordinate with the media to disseminate advertising
-contact organizations to explain services offered
-working with agency colleagues to devise an advertising campaign that meets the client’s brief and budget
-liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively
-presenting creative work to clients for approval or modification
-undertaking administrative tasks
-arranging and attending meetings

Desired start date for this part-time summer internship is May 15, 2012. In most cases, course credit can be earned. Future career growth possible.
