Description:

Crawford & Company is seeking a motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others; ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong problem solving skills; time management and strong interpersonal skills. To be successful in this position, the intern must be able to work efficiently, communicate professionally - both written and oral. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. This is a PAID Internship.

Assignments/Projects:

• Under general supervision, responsible for the designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting of moderately complex software systems programming applications.
• Provides onsite support for user applications and diagnoses and resolves related problems.
• Meets with manager and users to discuss design specifications to ensure they meet user objectives and requirements.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as requested and performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university.
• Minimum of one year completed towards Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Understands database concepts and effectively employs different database design techniques.
• Understands Service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Object-oriented programming (OOP)concepts.
• Understands the benefits of the various programming languages.
• Possesses knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures.
• Previous work experience in an office environment is preferred.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality .
• Must submit to a background screening which may include driving, credit and criminal history.
• Experience or knowledge of PL/SQL required.
• Java and .Net experience a plus.

20 - 30 hours per week
