Description:

Duties: The candidate will assist individuals and business owners with the completion of their disaster loan application(s), including financial documentation required in support of each application. Will also screen home and all types of business loan applications for completeness before forwarding for processing and assist borrowers in closing their loans. Counsel both home and business loan applicants who have submitted incomplete applications and assist in understanding what is required to complete the loan package. Qualification and Experience Qualifications: GS-09: Must have at least one full year (12 months) of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or higher in Federal service. This Specialized Experience must include all of the following: Responding to a variety of customer financial inquiries, ranging from routine to complex, and providing detailed information to the public. Operating computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of tax returns and financial information for homeowners and/or renters. General knowledge of various financial documents such as tax returns, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets for sole proprietorships and/or corporations. Knowledge of accounting and/or financial practices in order to explain financial decisions. GS-11: Must have at least one full year (12 months) of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or higher in Federal service. This Specialized Experience must include all of the following: Responding to a variety of customer financial inquiries, ranging from routine to complex, and providing detailed information to the public. Knowledge of tax returns and financial information for homeowners and/or renters. Operating computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet Explorer. In depth knowledge of various financial documents such as tax returns, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and schedule of liabilities for two or more of the following types of business ownership structures: sole proprietorships, corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. Knowledge of lending principles, including financial analysis, in order to understand and explain financial decisions. Leading a team to accomplish financial goals and objectives. OR Education: GS-9: Must have a Masters or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited college or university or two full years (36 semester hours or equivalent) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. degree. GS-11: Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited college or university or three full years (54 semester hours or equivalent) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M. degree.
