Description:

Duties: Will join the Medicaid and Welfare Divison providing comprehensive legal advice on development and application of state policy and regulations that comply with federal Medicare and Medicaid statutes and implementing regulations. Provide legal advice on Department actions related to eligibility, authorization of benefits, licensure and certification, billing and reimbursement. Provide guidance for implementing court orders, precedential court decisions and administrative law decisions and recommend whether appeals should be taken to higher courts on reversals of the Departments decision. Represent the Divisions in all aspects of litigation in administrative, state and federal proceedings. Consult with quality assurance teams on investigations of complaints, suspected fraud and abuse, conflict of interest and anti-kickback violations. Qualification and Experience Requirements: Admission to the Idaho Bar. Enthusiasm for public service. 3 years of related experience is preferred. Knowledge of administrative law and knowledge of public Health and Welfare law is desirable.
