Company/Organization: Brunswick Corporation

Your career is what you make it, and the same goes for Brunswick’s Leadership Development Program (LDP). Equal parts strategy and execution, the LDP internship offers a 10-week window into General Management, working alongside our executive leaders to address a variety of business issues and/or opportunities. Through experiential learning, interns build upon existing leadership, strategic and project management skills by participating in impactful projects in strategy, business development, marketing, and other functional areas. Along the way, LDP interns are provided networking opportunities across multiple divisions across the US. LDP interns are evaluated throughout the summer and will ultimately be considered for full-time LDP positions.

Interview Process and Placement

As a summer intern in the LDP, your title will be the same as it would be if you joined the full-time program, Manager of Strategy and Business Development. You will interview for acceptance into the general program and we will take division and/or location preferences into consideration the best we can. When you receive an offer, it will be to support a specific division: Mercury Marine, Brunswick Boat Group, Business Acceleration, or Corporate. Exact locations vary based on business needs each year, however, locations for internships always include Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; and Mettawa, Illinois. Given the company’s strategy to develop leaders for the entire corporation, those with geographic mobility will be more attractive during the selection process.
