This position will offer an intern the opportunity to assist the marketing and retail departments with research and development of a brand management strategy for the Orchard Shop at Minnetrista. The individual will become familiar with the mission, vision and brand promise of the institution. Duties will include research on current product lines to create storylines that align with the brand promise and appeal to the primary shop visitor; Assist with the creation of promotional pieces to accompany products, signage that will be incorporated into the shop experience and promotional pieces that can be used to market the shop in the community. The intern must have demonstrated writing and editing proficiency. The intern must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently while paying attention to detail and accuracy.

Ideal candidates should be working toward a degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or a related field. They should have strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, be familiar with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be creative, able to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines, flexible, reliable and able to work well with staff, volunteers and other interns.
