Project Transformation Intern- paid summer service internship

Share |

Company/Organization: Project Transformation Indiana

Description:

We are hiring college students for a paid summer service internship! You will work with a team of young adults to lead a summer program for elementary students from underserved communities. The curriculum provided includes a variety of enrichment activities with a focus on literacy so that the kids catch up and keep up over summer break. On Fridays, instead of working with the elementary school students, you get to explore your passion and purpose by visiting local nonprofit, ministry, and service organizations around Indianapolis. This internship provides housing, as you will live with the other interns in Christian community serving, eating, and worshiping together.

While much is expected of each intern, much is given in return in the form of love from the kids, support and fun from living in a community, and passion created by exploring your own potential to impact the world around you. Plus, this is a PAID internship! You receive a $2,000 stipend plus housing and most meals are provided! The internship begins May 30 and ends July 29.

Project Transformation Indiana is a faith-based nonprofit offering this hands-on opportunity to build relationships with underserved children, live in intentional community, experience cultural and socio-economic diversity, and explore various careers in nonprofits and service. This internship is open to all majors but is an especially great opportunity for those interested in working with kids, passionate about service, or considering a career in ministry, education, nonprofits or similar settings.

Qualifications:

Be open-minded.
