New startup Production company Shore To Shore Productions, LLC is looking for interns to manage and provide content for social media platforms. All positions are telecommuting only and we are looking for those located in the following cities: New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Lagos, Johannesburg, Toronto and Atlanta. Interns will execute strategies to gain a presence online and work primarily on our strategy for our first project reality web series.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media and digital initiatives, including developing and managing viral marketing campaigns, creating and supervising social media accounts, and integrating interactive media into the overall business strategy. Other duties include Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing (SEO/SEM) integration, monitoring and analysis of social media trends and their impact on the company brand, and supervision of overall social media strategy. He/She will work with Producer & Executive Producer on creating a marketing calendar to produce online campaigns, social media page design, compiling marketing data, and report on usage statistics and growth. The right candidate will have a degree in communications, marketing or a related field; marketing or public relations experience (including demonstrable social networking experience); and a strong familiarity with online marketing best practices.
Day to day responsibilities of the Social Media Manager include but are not limited to:
-reviewing social media accounts page statistics
-developing tools to attract followers
-managing/working with other interns to meet deadlines and goal
-social media team motivator
-monitoring trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy


Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
• Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media
• Proficient in content marketing theory and application
• Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) in order to maintain a voice and ever growing presences on each platform individually.
• Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
• Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other interns when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
• Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
• Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO/SEM including keyword research
• Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques. Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
• Obsessive about following the latest pop culture news on African/African American/Caribbean Film, Reality TV, movies, actors, directors, etc
