Youth Fieldwork Coordinator
Description:
The intern will work on a project that trains diverse urban high school students to do fieldwork in their communities documenting cultural traditions. Work will be conducted in 2-3 cities in Massachusetts, likely in the Boston area. The work will culminate in presenting culture-bearers at a multicultural festival in June, 2013. This project will last about 9-12 months depending on funding and other factors. Will work under the direct supervision of the Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries. Since this project is still in the planning stages you may have an opportunity to assist in its design.
Qualifications:
Need experience in and knowledge of fieldwork techniques and best practices.
Should have experience and training working with urban high school students.
Must have own transportation.
Having a good slr camera is helpful.
