Community Manager Intern

Have you maxed out your wizard skills? Seeking a proving grounds to master your web production, community management, and marketing tech trees? We’re looking for a talented Community Manager Intern to join Learning Games Network’s Cambridge studio, starting September 2012 for an initial engagement of 4 months. Your primary role will be supporting the marketing and outreach efforts for Quandary, a futuristic game about moral reasoning for kids aged 8-14, and a new unannounced project. You will also work to produce content and engage audiences through various digital channels.You will be expected to:
- Work with producers to develop and curate socially engaging content across various platforms
- Brainstorm and support delivery of marketing campaigns
- Coordinate outreach with partners and identify potential new partnerships
- Assist research of web analytics and offer insights on engagement strategy
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in English, media studies, communication, journalism, or marketing field
- A strong passion for video games, social media, and the interwebz
- An engaging social presence on two or more of the following platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, reddit, tumblr, and YouTube
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Google Analytics a plus
