Game Programming Intern
Description:
Have you maxed out your wizard skills? Seeking a proving grounds to master your coding tech tree? We’re looking for a talented Game Programming Intern to join Learning Games Network’s Cambridge studio, starting September 2012 for an initial engagement of four months. You’ll work with our team of producers, designers, and programmers to translate game designs into innovative and engaging playful experiences.You will be expected to:
- Diligently support and capture bugfixing and quality assurance efforts
- Write maintainable, clean code in a timely fashion according to best practices
- Assist lead programmers with game system feature implementation and additional development
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in computer science, software design, or relevant field
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design
- Deep experience in one or more of the following: ActionScript, C/C++, Flash, Java, Python, Javascript/AJAX, Mobile Software Development (iOS, Android)
- A strong passion for video games and game programming (game modders or hobby developers especially welcome!)
- An ability to communicate effectively and embrace team collaboration
