Zipcar’s public relations interns will have the opportunity to experience hands on experience working with public relations initiatives for the global Zipcar brand. There is regular interaction with agency partners and high level executives, as well as mentoring sessions with members of the public relations team.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Tracking daily media placements and collecting clips
• Compiling media lists for team pitching
• Using search engine and specific public relations software to research journalist activity
• Meeting with the public relations team for brainstorms
• Attending meetings with agency partners and internal Zipcar teams
• Drafting media materials such as pitches and press releases
• Proof-reading documents as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a concentration in communications, marketing or English
• Preferably able to work at least two full days in the office
• Superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent writing skills (familiarity with AP Style is preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and willingness to try new things
• Student must be receiving college credit for completing the internship
