SOUTH BOSTON — Teak Media + Communication, a boutique public relations agency that promotes non-profit organizations and socially responsible companies through the media, is seeking a part-time fall intern.

Interns obtain hands-on experience working directly with all members of the Teak team. Projects include writing blog posts and press materials, and pitching media.

Hours are flexible and juniors seeking college credit are preferred. Please be advised this is an unpaid internship with outstanding hands-on learning opportunities.

We are a small crew with high standards for productivity and ethics. Dress is casual, office environment is friendly, and teamwork is the norm. Unfortunately, those who cannot work in a dog-friendly environment need not apply. The dog was here first. Teak Media + Communication is located at 840 Summer Street, South Boston. The office is T-accessible and on-street parking is free.

Qualifications:

Requirements include proficiency in writing, professional phone mannerisms, an interest in the media, a desire to learn, responsibility, and the ability to work well with moderate supervision. Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft are essential and knowledge of Public Relations tech applications including Cision and Vocus is a bonus.
