SUMMER INTERNSHIPS:
Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival – Summer Internships. Gain valuable real-work experience in arts administration, documentation, and production at Jacob’s Pillow, a National Historic Landmark and home to America’s longest-running dance festival. Summer Interns are critical in the planning and execution of the Festival and are immersed in an international community of performers, faculty, scholars, staff, students and intern peers. The Festival encompasses more than 300 free and ticketed public events including artist talks, master classes, community classes, open rehearsals, and performances. Jacob’s Pillow also includes one of the fields most valuable dance Archives and the professional advancement training programs of The School at Jacobs Pillow. Positions available in Archives/Engagement, Artist Services, Business, Development: Fundraising/Individuals, Development: Fundraising/Grants, Education, Graphics/Web Design, House Management/Ticket Services, Marketing, Photojournalism, Press/Editorial, Production, Ticket Services/Fundraising, Ticket Services/Managerial, and Video Documentation.
Festival interns receive training and mentoring, on-campus housing, 3 meals per day, and a stipend, as well as participate in staff-led and professional seminars and have the opportunity to attend performances and dance classes free-of-charge. College credit is available.Applications must be postmarked by February 3 for priority consideration. Final deadline is March 3 Internship dates are May 24-September 1, 2011.
