Description:

Volunteer Management Internship--excellent learning opportunity for the right person. Engage in relationships at all levels while fulfilling the mission and vision of the organization. Specific Duties: Assist with the recruitment, training and retention of over 2,000 festival ambassadors. Develop local relationships with organizations to help them be more engaged in community involvement, work with local schools to educate students of the importance of volunteerism. Oversee volunteer central at the National Cherry Festival. Help plan and implement volunteer parties prior to and after the Festival. Internship begins January 14, 2013 and ends August 3, 2013. This is a full-time position; regular office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation: A maximum of a $1,000 stipend per 15-week block, housing and electricity. College credit may be available through attending University; consult with your college advisor as to the specific requirements for course credit.
