Deadline to apply is November 2, 2012.
Purina Brand Management interns actively learn through real-world marketing projects derived from our real-time business or community needs. You will spend twelve weeks assigned to a Nestle Purina brand team where you will find yourself engaged in three major projects: one analytically based, one creative based and a strategic project. Each is directly intended to mature your business applied marketing acumen, helping you transition from the theoretical classroom environment to the practical business application of marketing savvy that moves our consumers and enriches relationships with their pets.You will help us meet what challenges exist when marketing for a consumer who will purchase but not consume our products yet who still wants to know that their pets are heard. You will experience our passion for the consumer and her pet, driving toward deeper insight and then translating to motivating communications, product innovation and renovation. You will be expected to make meaningful and measurable contributions to our business and community during the summer, and where successful, we are very proud of our track record for making full-time offers of employment to our interns, and then developing them into our future marketing leaders.
We also encourage a work-life balance and will acquaint you with the great city of St. Louis where you will experience the community with planned group events and impromptu, after-work activities such as professional baseball games, happy hours, lunch-and-learns with the Marketing leadership team, and additional exciting activities throughout the city. Most of our Brand Management interns choose to accept our furnished loft housing arrangements located only minutes from our corporate headquarters and a short drive away from many culturally and socially eclectic hotspots. We need you to contribute at a professional level, but we want you to do so having fun, being comfortable and enjoying the full measure of your contributions.
Performance feedback is critically important to your success and development. Brand Management intern supervisors and other brand team members provide our interns with constructive feedback and guidance regarding performance, progress, and organizational information. In addition, formal performance evaluations take place mid-summer and at the conclusion of the internship. You are encouraged to network and engage directly, actively, at all levels and across the organization.
Qualifications:
Must be a full-time 1st year MBA student with a Marketing concentration.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
Must be available to complete a 12-week internship during the summer of 2013 in St. Louis, MO. Must also be willing to accept or decline an internship offer by January 4, 2013.
