Description:

Duties: The candidate stays abreast of commodity and industry trends and studies the market for qualified suppliers. Ensures Supplier Manager is connected to the market. Acts as a primary facilitator of the contract negotiation process for small/ straight forward contracts using tools such as RFXs and Procuri. Facilitates the process for performing due diligence reviews on suppliers. Facilitates the re-evaluation of Banks relationships with suppliers using a consistent approach on a periodic basis. Supports specific areas within Global Human Resources. Facilitates competitive bid processes, negotiating and maintaining contracts. Manages a large base of suppliers across a nationwide geography. Works with the Sourcing Manager to identify emerging opportunities and translates them into strategies and action plans. Responsible for cost and price analysis, supply chain governance, as well as, acquiring and maintaining technical knowledge of the commodity/industry and sharing and applying this knowledge regularly. Creates detailed project plans and produces required financial analysis to execute sourcing initiatives. Meets/exceeds annual cost savings targets in addition to any related service and responsiveness improvements. Modifies standard legal contracts working with Legal, Risk and other partners as needed. Develops effective working relationships with both internal and external customers, as well as, outside suppliers.
