Duties: Stays abreast of commodity and industry trends and proactively studies the market for qualified suppliers. Ensures Supplier Manager is connected to the market. Acts as a primary facilitator of the contract negotiation process for small/ straight forward contracts using tools such as RFXs and Procuri. Facilitates the process for performing due diligence reviews on suppliers. Facilitates the re-evaluation of companys relationships with suppliers using a consistent approach on a periodic basis. Mid-level position within the Global Supply Chain Management team. Will support specific areas within Global Human Resources. The duties will include facilitating competitive bid processes, negotiating and maintaining contracts. Additional duties include: being responsible for managing a large base of suppliers across a nationwide geography. Will work with the Sourcing Manager to identify emerging opportunities and translates them into strategies and action plans. Responsible for cost and price analysis, supply chain governance, as well as, proactively acquiring and maintaining technical knowledge of the commodity/industry and sharing and applying this knowledge regularly. Creates detailed project plans and produces required financial analysis to execute sourcing initiatives. Accountable for meeting/exceeding annual cost savings targets in addition to any related service and responsiveness improvements. Modifies standard legal contracts working with Legal, Risk and other partners as needed. Lead will need to be able to work with minimal supervision, make decisions balancing risk and reward, have a logical thought processes steeped in analysis and be driven to succeed.
