Bioreserve Training

Share |

Company/Organization: Huron River Watershed Council

Description:

Attend a half day training session to become prepared to help out the HRWC’s Bioreserve Natural Areas Assessment program! Volunteers must attend the training. Once you’ve done the training you are ready for the assessment. Each assessment takes about 3-4 hours and involves a nature hike through the woods or wetlands. Volunteer teams conduct rapid ecological assessments of grasslands, forests, wetlands, and aquatic habitats throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Commitment after training entails performing two or more assessments (as part of a team) during the spring and summer. This is a great excuse to spend more time outside while helping keep our water ways clean!
