Event Coordinator Intern Position

POSITION SUMMARY:
An Event Coordinator Intern is responsible for planning and organizing all events as well as keeping everyone on the same page with all current and upcoming projects. This individual is a hard-working and detail-oriented person so that all events are preformed to the greatest of their ability. By having a strong relationship with all employees and all businesses/vendors they are able to. Being able to be a committed and outgoing individual are essential components for this position. We are looking to fulfill this position for Fall 2012.

Event Coordinator should be/demonstrate:
Pre-Booking for Bridal Show
Create and File Press Lists
Send Press Release and Request for Reporter
Schedule Pre-Show Conference Calls with Venue
Confirm Models
Confirm Dress Supplier
Email Pre Event Exhibitor Brief

COMPENSATION/EVALUATIONS:
An Event Coordinator Intern is a part-time unpaid position available for college credit.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent communication skills with both workers and clients
• Proficient with basic computer skills
• High organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team so that the job can be effectively carried out
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism
• Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
