Description:

Do you have rock and roll in your soul? Little Kids Rock is seeking an intern who will be taught valuable development skills while assisting the development team in the organization’s fundraising efforts. The Development Department solicits donations, plans and executes special events and manages the donor database.

Responsibilities:
Working with direction from the Development Assistant and management team, the Development Intern will be tasked with administrative and non-administrative activities including assisting with donation processing, appeal mailings, researching funders, updating development records, helping coordinate and attending special events, preparing outreach efforts to the public, drafting correspondence with donors, filing, data entry, and other general clerical work.

Schedule:
Up to three days per week for a period of three months is preferred. Exact days and times will be established in harmony with the intern’s schedule.

Compensation:
This is a volunteer opportunity with provided travel reimbursement to defray travel expenses. Credit is also available.

Qualifications:

The right match for this position will be ready to rock at a moment’s time. We’re looking for a highly motivated, intelligent individual with strong organizational skills in addition to written and oral communication skills who will have the ability to handle several projects simultaneously. A fun and professional phone manner and good interpersonal skills are also important. The ideal candidate will have a career path of Non-Profit Management and a great command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
