INTERN FOR SALES/MARKETING (marketing)
Well-established public relations and marketing company with award winning clients from around the world seeks motivated intern for sales and marketing department in the marketing and sales department. This is an exciting opportunity to learn how to effectively identify and research potential customers and develop marketing and business development plans. As an intern you will be responsible for identifying and researching potential companies in a variety of industries including the entertainment, consumer goods, retail and hospitality industries. After you have identified and researched targeted companies you will work with the sales and marketing team to develop the most efficient and effective marketing and business development strategies to convert target companies into BHPR customers. You will also be assisting our team on a number of projects including social media marketing, fulfilling media requests, distributing press releases, various networking tools and assisting with event coordination in addition to research and database management.

Qualified applicants with excellent communication and writing skills, and an ability to multitask are encouraged to apply. The internship is non-paid, with part-time and full-time options available. Although it is unpaid, we are happy to provide the necessary documentation for school credit. We appreciate hard work and a job well done, at the end of the time period as long as the job was well done there is a small merit-based stipend given, but this is an UNPAID position. It is only good for someone who is looking for experience. For those who are qualified and accepted on new work opportunities there will be opportunities to take on larger (paid) roles if they develop. Non-student interns are accepted. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prospecting & researching potential customers & contact management
• Strengthen the BHPR sales proposition by preparing compelling case study presentations based on existing partnerships
• Support existing campaigns with performance tracking & reporting
• Brainstorming and drafting articles for the Firm’s electronic newsletter
• Updating database of editorial calendars and media contacts
• Copyediting briefing papers, proposals, presentations and website
• Event and team coordination
• Media assistance

Qualifications:

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
A great writer with a positive outlook.
Strong understanding of the Internet and New Media
Self-motivated and can work virtually (from home) on your own as well as part of an in-person team.
Some design software (Photoshop, Illustrator).
Basic HTML.
Knowledge of Web 2.0 social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Knowledge of RSS feeds, Search Engine Optimization, and WordPress would be a big plus.
