The New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) granted Seedco the Career Pathways (CP) contract in February 2009 to prepare low income young adults for quality jobs in four high growth sectors: 1) construction, 2) building maintenance, 3) retail, and 4) healthcare. The contract will run over two-year period from February 1, 2009 – January 31, 2011. The intern will assist the associate in a number of aspects of this program including:• Assist in the development and implementation of program enhancement tools and strategies
• Analyze data and performance trends
• Revamp program tools such as the tracking sheets, client flow chart, intake form, and other tools/forms
• Data Evaluation/ Quality Assurance – verify that data has been inputted correctly in the OSOS system
• Maintain Milestone Tracking sheets and Milestone reports
• Attend Site Visits to CP subcontractors to verify that the participants’ case files are accurately maintained and to identify expressed program related concerns
• Provide technical assistance to the subcontractors through weekly check-ins and follow-ups.
Qualifications:
Preferably, the intern should have a minimum of junior or senior college level education and be comfortable using Excel. Additionally, the intern should have genuine interest learning about workforce development and program management.
