Operation Analysis Internship, Summer 2010

Description:

Intern will receive an overview of Center operations by participating in support tasks in our Intake, Career Advisement, Advance at Work, and Recruitment & Placement units. After the Intern has a solid understanding of how the Center and each individual unit works, the Intern, under the supervision of the SOC, will then work to evaluate unit operational efficiency and the effectiveness of current service offerings. The Intern, SOC, and respective Unit Coordinator will then work together to devise solutions and present the proposed solutions to the Center Director and Deputy Director for approval.

Qualifications:

• Working towards Master’s degree in the social sciences or human services such as public policy, social work, etc.;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a high volume, performance based environment;
• Ability to effectively interact and work with individuals with diverse backgrounds;
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office software, with heavy emphasis on Excel;
• Excellent computer skills and experience with database software;
